And as below the surface annoyed people were when there was no snow, when there was significant snow they were out and out nasty. <BR/><BR/>People would shovel the space in front of their house. Then they would put out chairs and pieces of wood to "claim" the space and save it for themselves when they got back home from work.<BR/><BR/>Woe to the person who would dare to move one of the barriers in a shoveled spot.
