Unfortunately, it looks like cafepress may be giving some $$ to Autism Speaks. I can't work out if it's just this shop or all autism-related stuff. http://shop.cafepress.com/autism
"* An amount equal to 10% of the final purchase price for all products tagged with 'autism' and sold through CafePress.com Marketplace during March 26, 2010 through April 30, 2010 will be donated to Autism Speaks."
My understanding is that that applies to all stores... am I misunderstanding?
I was unaware of anything like that, and was not given any notice of it, nor did I give any permission for it. It would be unfortunate, for as I noted before, the money from my shop supports my son and his speech therapy, and I have not gotten nearly the traffic and return from any other site (in fact, the cafepress shop is the only one that has made any money instead of losing money, so that I had to close down most of the other sites). My only option would be to take down the store and give up the income this generates to support my son. What do you recommend, since certainly these comments will keep most of the people who come to the shop, and know about it through my blog, from making any purchases?
That also means the general public won't find them, during what is my best month for any business at all. April is kinda like the Christmas season for autism products.

This feature shows the letters of the font Galludet, which is awesome. Learning to fingerspell is fun, and give you an excellent way to communicate without having to make a lot of noise. I recommend learning some basic sign to use as visual prompts for your child, too, even if they are not deaf or have hearing loss.

It is not my shop. The profits from my shop come to me, and I use it to pay for my son's speech therapy.
According to the CafePress site:

The other option would be to remove the word "autism" from the products' keywords until the end of April. Then this promotion won't apply to them.
