Anybody have a child who just completely stopped eating? We are on day three of Andy's Chocolate Milk diet. Granted, he has a bad cold... but to not eat anything? I can't even get this kid to eat cookies. What's the deal?
Any other signs of any kind of stomach trouble? Charlie has gone almost a whole day without eating and later on had a stomach "issue." Might the start of the holidays be starting to have an effect? Thinking about it.....
Yes, my son once didnt eat for 10 days, he regularly dosnt for 2, 3 even 4 days. If there are no medical reasons that you can see and he is drinking (C has not drunk anything for days as well!)then dont worry (i know you will cos i do) Add some liquid vitamins as that way you will feel better! Is he constipated? Hope he feels better soon.
I have no idea what the deal is. Leo went for 5 days straight, when he was not ill, but didn't like what was on offer. He was off milk by then, so it was water only.
If he's ill that's different, I'd certainly be worried about fluids - he'd only had little sips, wouldn't [of course] drink pediasure or the ice pop version.
Sound like you'll be camping out at the doctors in the not too distant future. Best wishes
mine has done this when in the worst of bowel retention issues and as a side effect of medication. Not eating cookies always concerns me. Good luck. I hope all is well soon.
Food tastes different as a result of having a bad cold, and the effect is probably more noticeable and more annoying for autistic kids who have sensory issues.
I remember not wanting to eat chicken soup when I was a kid and had a bad cold. I thought it tasted like carrots instead of soup!

This feature shows the letters of the font Galludet, which is awesome. Learning to fingerspell is fun, and give you an excellent way to communicate without having to make a lot of noise. I recommend learning some basic sign to use as visual prompts for your child, too, even if they are not deaf or have hearing loss.
