What difference does it make to have support, appropriate teaching, appropriate education settings and levels? What difference does individualization and understanding make?
What wonderful pictures - I have a 15 year old and it can be hard to get her to smile - after all she is 'too cool' for that kind of thing. I will be glad when she grows out of that :)
"Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." H. H. Dalai Lama
"Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does." William James
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Albert Einstein
This feature shows the letters of the font Galludet, which is awesome. Learning to fingerspell is fun, and give you an excellent way to communicate without having to make a lot of noise. I recommend learning some basic sign to use as visual prompts for your child, too, even if they are not deaf or have hearing loss.
